Britney Spears became famous when she was just a teenager. She achieved international success with such hits as "Oops!… I Did It Again" and "Baby One More Time". The celebrity was born on 2 December 1981 in Mississippi. Her parents didn’t work in the music industry but supported the girl’s talent from the start.

Spears’ mother worked hard to let the daughter’s many talents shine. She helped Britney chose her favorite sports and paid a lot of attention to rhythmic gymnastics. The girl participated in numerous competitions and talent shows.

The aspiring celebrity began singing when she was still in pre-school. Her parents paid for singing lessons. Britney developed vocal skills and showed immense talent. The star’s parents immediately realized that music was the right choice for their daughter and supported her wish to become a professional singer.

When she was eight years old, Britney saw an invitation to audition for a television show Mickey Mouse Club. She asked her parents to help her do it. They agreed. However, the organizers didn’t accept the girl. She was too young for the show. They paid tribute to Britney’s talent and introduced her to one of the agents, who helped the young singer take first steps to fame.

Spears enrolled in Professional Performing Arts School, which helped create future celebrities. The teachers focused on acting and stage performance. Britney learned how to behave on stage and interact with the audience. She also landed roles in plays.

In 1992, Spears tried her luck at a professional talent contest, Star Search. The finalists got a chance to build a career in show business. However, the young singer didn’t move past the second round.

A year later, Britney came back to the Disney channel and was accepted to the Mickey Mouse Club. She stayed with the show for two years. Many other celebrities, such as Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera started their careers on that show.

In 1994, Mickey Mouse Club went off the air. Spears came back to Louisiana where her parents lived at the time. She attended a regular high school. Soon the young woman started performing with the local girl band, Innosense. After some time, she decided to pursue a solo career and found money to record a demo. The representatives of Jive Records heard the demo and offered Spears a contract, which she happily signed.

The label sent Spears to a recording studio in Stockholm. There she met a producer Max Martin, who worked with such celebrities as N'Sync and Backstreet Boys.

In 1999, Britney became famous all over the world when she presented her debut album, Baby One More Time. It sold 25 million copies worldwide and stayed in Billboard 200 for over a year. Many fans wanted to book Brittney Spears for private events at the time, but she was too busy recording new hits.

In 2000, the singer presented a new LP, Oops!...I Did It Again, which sold over 1.3 million copies in just the first week. In 2003, she presented a new LP, In the Zone, which featured a new hit “Toxic”. The single brought Britney a Grammy Award. The album itself sold six million copies worldwide and topped the charts.

After the release of her fourth album, the singer decided to take a break. She left the stage until 2007. Spears came back with the new LP, Blackout, which is considered her worst album to date.

Spears didn’t lose her cool and came up with a new LP, Circus, in just a year. It became commercially successful and earned positive reviews from the critics. In 2010, Britney presented another platinum LP, Femme Fatale.

In 2013, Britney began working on a new album, Britney Jean, which eventually came out in November. This time, Spears worked with RCA Records since Jive Records fell apart.

As of today, the latest album recorded by Britney Spears is Glory. It came out in August 2016. The same year, the singer performed at MTV Video Music Awards ceremony and presented new singles, "Do You Wanna Come Over" and "Clumsy".

While working on her music career, Spears appeared in TV series and Hollywood movies. She is often invited to different music-related shows as a guest, host, and a judge.
